It’s still alive and well. You just need to know where to find it. Luckily, the place for “techno” is in the clubs,not on the radio, and to date, no one has made a major effort to try to foist “techno” onto radio.
As far as “techno” being “rap without words,” you obviously have no real concept of either musical genres.

Techno isn’t dead, you just got to look in the right places like the movie Blade, or racing your car on the freeway.

Yeah I used to listen to it all the time when I ate a lot of ecstasy. Now I dont because it makes me want to eat more X and I quit, but deep down I still love it.
Are you talking like techno as in the genre or techno like most people think of it? Anyway i’m more into trance myself but yes the whole genre is still very much alive. Like another poster said there will always be digitally imported radio.
